The P-H16-D sight mounting machine screw on the Mossberg 42MB uses a near 32tpi thread of 0.187" diam.
The Mossberg sight mounting machine screw uses a near 32tpi thread of 0.1825" diam.
The threads are each close to both 2BA and 3/16" BSF.
The P-H machine screw is of 0.326 O/A length with a very short taper of ca. 0.050" on its domed head.
The Mossberg screw is 0.290" O/A with a 0.110" deep taper from the base of its domed head.
